Thyroid Analysis
Low energy, weight gain, constipation, thinning hair, fertility problems
and low body temperature can all be signs of an under active thyroid.
Our Thyroid governs the speed our bodies tick over.
It has an influence over just about every organ of our body from our
brain to our bowels, from the amount of weight we carry to the amount
of energy we have.
A simple blood test can indicate
if there are any problems with your thyroid. We can measure total thyroxine
(T4), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Free Triiodothyronine (T3),
Free Thyroxine (T4) and thyroid antibodies.
A separate test can be added to the Full Profile to measure Reverse T3 (rT3). Reverse T3 is often found when physical, mental and environmental stresses have caused an inhibition of the conversion of T4 to T3 therefore decreasing the amount of active thyroid available to the cells. This condition is also known as “sick euthyroid” or low T3 syndrome”.
